USH2025 in Nijmegen

21 June 2025

June 19th to 21st, our team attended the USH2025 conference in Nijmegen, dedicated to accelerating research and therapies for Usher syndrome. Wouter and Winnie gave a presentation on Usher gene expression in the human inner ear and the use of inner ear organoids and RNA therapeutics to model and address Usher syndrome. In addition, Esther presented a poster showcasing our latest progress on inner ear organoid research. The scientific conference program featured a unique mix of basic science, translational research, clinical studies, and regulatory perspectives. In addition, the Congrestival brought together researchers and patients to discuss the latest progress in Usher syndrome research. We thank the organizers for a truly inspiring meeting. We were especially impressed by the active involvement of patients and their families. Their presence was a powerful reminder of who ultimately benefits from this work.
