During the Inner Ear Biology Workshop 2022 in Trieste, our lab member Wouter van der Valk received the Spoendlin Award for his great work on human inner ear organoids. His work will contribute to the understanding of human inner ear development as well as the advancements of medical therapies targeting balance and hearing problems. The organoid models will pave the way to personalized medicine.
