Last month, Esther and Heiko attended the Annual Scientific Meeting of reNEW, held this year in Melbourne. It was an invigorating and intensive week, featuring presentations from reNEW principal investigators, associate investigators, facility heads, and other leading scientists. The event balanced academic rigor with social activities, including a visit to a chocolate factory and a meet-and-greet with Australian animals. Heiko presented our progress on USH2A and DFNA9 inner ear organoids and antisense therapy. Both Esther and Heiko returned with renewed motivation and fresh research ideas!
